Breakpoint Integration & Diversity

The Swedish Government have pronounced the Outsidership of the many immigrants in Sweden as a prioritated area of work. The project Breakpoint aims to contribute to this by bringing concrete ways to handle the issue of Diversity and supporting people to develop their understanding of beeing an outsider and immigrant and its consequences. To do this in an efficient and human way, people have to meet each other, accross borders and sectors in the Swedish society. People outside have to deal with this together with stakeholders and those in power. Breakpoint also brings a wider definition of Outsidership and Diversity, by including all people that have experiences of Outsidership in the society. The work with Diversity is depending on all people having the same rights to be who they are in a democratic society.
The Breakpoint conferences make it possible for people to handle thier Outsidership in the meeting with the actors in society and together with them find new and more constructive ways of acting.
